Transmira, the pioneering metaverse platform, has secured a major investment of $4 million from nChain, the world leader in Web3 and blockchain technologies. This latest development follows a strategic partnership announced earlier this year, and is set to propel Transmira to new heights in the rapidly evolving metaverse economy.
Raleigh, North Carolina based Transmira is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technology, products, and services for businesses, brands, and creators within the OMNISCAPE platform, the world’s first real-world metaverse.
The platform boasts city-scale digital twins, the monetization of virtual goods, and a seamless blend of augmented and virtual reality, providing users with an unprecedented immersive experience.
As per the terms of investment, nChain has taken a 20% equity stake in Transmira. The move is aimed at diversifying nChain’s portfolio.
Robert Rice, Transmira CEO, expressed his excitement about the partnership with nChain and the competitive edge it brings to the table.
According to Rice, “as one of the few companies that offer both augmented and virtual reality in a single elegant solution, Transmira will benefit greatly from nChain’s extensive resources and expertise in Web3 and blockchain technologies.”
Rice also praised nChain’s visionary CEO, Christen Ager-Hanssen, for his strategic guidance and support in enhancing Transmira’s capabilities and expanding its reach into global markets. With this collaboration, Rice Transmira is poised to revolutionize the metaverse industry and embark on an exciting new phase of growth and development.
Transmira’s platform connects the physical and digital worlds by combining augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) in city-scale digital twins, creating immersive experiences for users and brands. The blockchain technology underpinning the platform allows for secure and authenticated transactions, and enables the monetisation of virtual goods.
Christen-Ager Hanssen, nChain Group CEO, said the company plans to be “very active” in the metaverse in the near future.
Leveraging nChain’s Web3 and blockchain intellectual property portfolio will enhance Transmira’s value and bolster its market valuation for future investment rounds. nChain will also provide sales and marketing services to drive platform adoption.
Metaverse is estimated to be worth $13 trillion by 2030 with a potential market size of 5 billion users. The partnership between nChain and Transmira aims to pioneer Web3 transformation, allowing industries, brands, and users to create value, utility, and monetisation for the new metaverse economy.
