Ritual, a decentralized open AI infrastructure network, today unveiled the Ritual Foundation, to advance AI adoption within decentralized ecosystems. The Foundation aims to promote secure and accessible AI integration while fostering a thriving developer community around the Ritual Chain.
Tasked with driving global adoption, the Ritual Foundation will accelerate ecosystem development through grants, governance initiatives, and community-driven resources.
Its strategic focus includes forging partnerships, scaling adoption, and enabling innovative applications and protocols to thrive on Ritual’s infrastructure.
Central to this effort is the upcoming launch of Ritual Chain, the first Layer 1 blockchain designed with AI capabilities embedded directly into its architecture.
Built on Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility, Ritual Chain empowers decentralized applications (dApps) to integrate AI models securely, providing computational guarantees that ensure trust in AI outputs. This evolution builds on Ritual’s Infernet decentralized oracle network (DON), signaling a significant leap in blockchain functionality.
“The Ritual Chain testnet enables entirely new user behavior that wasn’t possible in any other system today for interacting with AI,” said Akilesh, co-founder of Ritual Labs. “It’s not just about AI—we’re creating a foundation for next-generation RaaS platforms, prover networks, and IP marketplaces.”
The Foundation is also launching Realm, a platform designed to accelerate projects within the Ritual ecosystem. Realm offers technical, financial, and educational support to developers, helping them harness Ritual Chain’s unique capabilities from ideation to deployment.
This initiative underscores Ritual’s commitment to aligning its ecosystem with the evolving needs of AI developers and users, aiming to redefine how decentralized applications leverage AI technologies.
