OKX Adds SUI Token to the Jumpstart Program
The first announcement is the addition of the SUI token to the OKX Jumpstart program, which offers OKX users easy access to new, high-quality crypto projects.
Starting from April 23, 2023, users will be able to buy SUI with OKB, which is the native token of OKX. SUI is a permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed to allow creators and developers to build experiences that cater to the next billion users in web3.
The SUI token is used to pay for gas, and users can stake their SUI tokens with validators in a Delegated Proof-of-Stake model within an epoch.
The addition of SUI to OKX Jumpstart follows the previous projects listed on the platform, including TAKI, ELT, and BRWL.
OKX Wallet Integrates with Lido
In addition to the SUI announcement, OKX has also integrated with Lido, a leading DeFi protocol.
As of April 2023, the OKX Wallet will be featured as one of the main wallets that can be used with Lido, allowing users to stake ETH and tokens on five other chains with OKX Wallet.
The integration with Lido also makes it easier for users to withdraw their staked ETH following the Shapella upgrade, which additionally facilitates users’ ability to participate in OKX’s ETH Shanghai upgrade campaign.
According to DefiLlama data, Lido is the largest decentralized-finance protocol with $52.2 billion in total value locked, with $31.2 billion in ETH.
Both announcements are expected to benefit OKX users by providing them with easy access to new and exciting crypto projects and expanding their capabilities through integration with leading protocols.
The addition of SUI to the Jumpstart program will also give creators and developers a chance to build experiences catering to the next billion users in web3, while the integration with Lido will provide a more seamless experience for staking ETH and tokens.
