Mint EDM combines elements from Web 2.0 such as Instant Music Downloads (similar to Bandcamp and Soundcloud) with Web 3.0 such as Music NFT’s and Artwork Poster NFT’s (similar to Opensea and Sound.xyz)
Barrie Birch (Owner of Mint EDM) has been in the Web 3.0 space for over a year researching many different NFT Platforms:
“A lot of NFT platforms are not dedicated to music like Mint EDM and lots are still missing essential functionality such as payment gateways, secondary market option, and I wanted to bring a new opportunity for artists, labels, and fans. Mint EDM provides the best of both worlds”.
Mint EDM utilises the Polygon blockchain as an eco-friendly option rather than Ethereum.
Mint EDM caters for fans that want to remain in Web 2.0 but with increased Scarcity so each release will have a limited number of downloads available i.e. 10 of 10, 25 of 25. A lot of releases will also be exclusive to Mint EDM.
Mint EDM will cover many different genres such as House, Acid, Techno, Synthpop, Synthwave, and more
Anyone that purchases a limited download will also have the chance to create a digital wallet and obtain a Artwork Poster NFT which can be resold on the Secondary Market such as Opensea.
