United States, November 27, 2025 / AlexaBlockchain/ – Lyrium, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency project, launched its wallet application Nov. 20 and opened its Genesis Block Allocation presale Nov. 18, the project announced today. The wallet release came more than a month ahead of its original first-quarter 2026 target.
The project allocates 96 percent of its total token supply to miners and only 4 percent through its presale, positioning itself against venture capital-backed cryptocurrencies that typically reserve larger portions for early investors. Early presale participants have already received airdrops, according to Tom, the project coordinator, who said Lyrium is pursuing security audits from Certik and Solidproof.
Lyrium uses the CryptoNote protocol, the same technology underlying Monero, and implements ring signatures and stealth addresses to make transactions private by default. The blockchain uses ASIC-resistant mining algorithms designed to allow GPU miners to participate in network security rather than requiring specialized industrial equipment.
“Privacy isn’t a feature; it’s a fundamental right,” Tom said. “Lyrium users don’t have to choose between privacy and functionality.”
The project uses a dual-phase emission model. During the first 15 years, the network distributes 48,706 LYR tokens per block. A tail emission phase follows, reducing rewards to 3,653 LYR per block. The project plans to implement perpetual emissions around year 40 based on network data rather than predetermined rates.
The Genesis Block Allocation presale offers tiers ranging from $30 to $10,000, with dragon-themed naming from “Egg” to “Eternal Dragon.” Each tier provides proportional stakes in the 4 percent presale allocation.
“We watched mining opportunities disappear as networks centralised and projects prioritised quick returns over sustainable growth,” Tom said. “My role as coordinator is temporary; governance will ultimately transfer to the community through consensus.”
