  • Immutable partners with Japan’s top mobile gaming developer to bring TOKYO BEAST to Web3.
  • TOKYO BEAST features a futuristic setting, competitive battles, and a pooled NFT system, allowing new players to participate without owning NFTs.

Immutable has partnered with Japan’s top mobile gaming developer to bring Tokyo Beast, a highly anticipated blockchain battler, onto web3. The partnership will work alongside Japan’s No. 1 mobile game developer and adds to Immutable’s growing roster of multi-billion dollar game developers.

The collaboration between Immutable and the creators of TOKYO BEAST brings together industry expertise and blockchain technology to enhance TOKYO BEAST, a game that blends traditional mobile mechanics with Web3 innovation.

TOKYO BEAST is set in Tokyo in 2124, where androids called “BEAST” compete in high-stakes tournaments. Players can either battle in “XENO-karate” competitions or predict match outcomes. Winning predictions earn in-game items and virtual currency. The game introduces a pooled NFT system, allowing new players to join without owning NFTs. This ensures accessibility while maintaining value for NFT holders.

Naoki Motohashi, Producer of TOKYO BEAST, said, “Immutable’s blockchain technology is a perfect fit for bringing our game to Web3. We aim to set a new standard for competitive blockchain gaming.”

This partnership is part of Immutable’s broader push into Asia. The company recently teamed up with QAQA and DM2C Studio in Japan. It also collaborated with MARBLEX, a subsidiary of South Korea’s gaming giant Netmarble. These moves help Immutable onboard major game developers into Web3.

“TOKYO BEAST, exemplifies a game that can drive mainstream adoption of blockchain gaming. With its large fanbase and solid game design, we believe the TOKYO BEAST, Championship tournaments will engage millions of new players,” stated Immutable Co-Founder, Robbie Ferguson.

Japan’s gaming industry is embracing blockchain. Major studios are exploring ways to integrate Web3 into their games. Immutable’s partnership with TOKYO BEAST highlights this shift. The game blends traditional mechanics with blockchain innovation, providing a unique competitive experience.

Immutable has raised over $300 million from investors like Temasek, Tencent, and Galaxy. The funding supports its expansion and technology development. The company’s platform ensures scalability and security, key factors for mainstream adoption of blockchain games.

Despite challenges like regulatory uncertainty, Immutable is moving forward. Its partnerships with major gaming companies show confidence in blockchain gaming’s future. With TOKYO BEAST, Immutable adds another high-quality game to its ecosystem, reinforcing its leadership in Web3 gaming.

The success of TOKYO BEAST could influence more developers to explore Web3 gaming. As blockchain technology evolves, its impact on gaming is expected to grow, bringing new experiences to players worldwide.
