Cambrian and Ping Network Team Up to Launch Scalable Decentralized Bandwidth Infra on Solana

Cambrian, a platform streamlining the creation of Node Consensus Networks (NCNs) on Solana, has partnered with Ping Network to bring decentralized bandwidth connectivity a step closer to mainstream deployment. The two firms announced the successful launch of Ping Network’s decentralized validator infrastructure on Solana Devnet, positioning the project as a scalable and economically secure alternative to traditional bandwidth providers.

The collaboration leverages Cambrian’s development tools and Jito Restaking—an emerging mechanism within the Solana ecosystem that enhances economic security by restaking validator assets—to create an NCN tailored for bandwidth distribution. Ping Network, a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN), decentralizes global bandwidth resources by tapping into everything from enterprise data centers to idle capacity on personal devices.

While DePIN networks have typically focused on compute or storage layers, Ping is targeting bandwidth—a more elusive and complex frontier in decentralized internet infrastructure. By integrating with Cambrian’s SDK and automated orchestration system, Ping was able to deploy a validator network capable of managing millions of nodes, cross-validating their data contributions, and distributing rewards in a transparent and efficient manner.

“Cambrian’s tools drastically simplified our validator development, reducing complexity and enabling rapid deployment of our decentralized infrastructure,” said Nazar Fazylov, CEO of Ping Network. He added that the new architecture was essential to scaling the network’s service offerings while preserving its decentralized ethos.

The deployment marks a significant milestone in making bandwidth a programmable, decentralized commodity, echoing broader ambitions within the DePIN sector to unbundle critical infrastructure from centralized gatekeepers. Ping’s model includes a decentralized Proof-of-Authority (PoA) governance framework, fortified by Jito Restaking, to ensure that reward mechanisms are not only economically viable but also resistant to manipulation.

Cambrian CEO Gena Evstratov framed the partnership as a case study in what the next generation of Solana-native infrastructure could look like.

“Our collaboration with Ping Network showcases the power of Cambrian’s streamlined NCN development tools to rapidly build and deploy sophisticated decentralized solutions,” he said. “This is especially vital within the fast-growing DePIN space, where speed, scale, and security are paramount.”

The current rollout on Solana Devnet serves as a proving ground, with plans to move to Testnet by late Q2 and target a full Mainnet launch by early summer 2025. The roadmap also includes integration of interactive verification protocols and a reputation-based incentive layer, further increasing the precision and fairness of Ping’s reward system.

As bandwidth demands surge with the proliferation of AI, metaverse platforms, and real-time decentralized applications, Ping Network’s architecture—enabled by Cambrian—could provide the infrastructure backbone for a new internet paradigm, where data flows as freely and fairly as tokens.
