Last year Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey sold an NFT of his famed first tweet — ”just setting up my twttr” — for $2.9 million. Do you also want to quickly mint an NFT of your tweet? TwiTz NFT launches an NFT minting platform that allows you to create an NFT for your tweets.
What is TwiTz NFT?
TwiTz NFT offers an easy and simple solution to eternalize your tweets forever on the Tezos blockchain as NFTs. Users just need to tag @TwitzNFT in a reply to the tweet that they want to mint and TwiTz will mint the same as an NFT in a few seconds.
TwiTz also supports direct mints to Kukai wallets, users do not necessarily need to mention the Tezos address or domain to be able to mint the nfts – they can directly mint it to a Twitter username and the nft shall be minted to the Kukai wallet address associated with that Twitter account.
TwiTz is also listed on OBJKT.com to enable users to auction and trade their tweets!
How to Use TwiTz ?
Find the tweet you want to eternalize and request a mint by replying to that tweet with –
@TwiTzNFT mint tz-address : will create a mint request with the mentioned Tezos address as the recipient
@TwiTzNFT mint tezos_domain.tez : will create a mint request with the mentioned Tezos domain as the recipient
@TwiTzNFT mint : will create a mint request with the address associated with the Kukai wallet of the Twitter profile which created the tweet as the recipient
@TwiTzNFT mint @twitter_username : will create a mint request with the address associated with the Kukai wallet of the mentioned Twitter profile as the recipient.
TwiTz also supports 2 different color themes –
Light: using just mint in the request will mint the tweet in the light theme, eg. @TwiTzNFT mint @gdsoumya
Dark: using mint-dark in the request will mint the tweet in the dark theme, eg. @TwiTzNFT mint-dark @gdsoumya
Once the mint request is made TwiTz will provide a claim link that will let you claim the NFT. The NFT is minted only after it has been claimed and anyone can perform the claim operation and pay the fees but the NFT will always be minted to the recipient specified in the mint request.
TwiTz is very restrictive about who can mint a tweet and only allows the author of the tweet to be able to request a mint.
This restriction is needed for 2 reasons mainly :
The author of the tweet should have true ownership, if their tweet is minted they should have the first right to own it or decide who should have it.
A particular tweet can only be minted once, this adds uniqueness and legitimacy to that minted NFT. If anyone could mint the tweets then the value and legitimacy of the NFTs are lost. Each tweet currently is by virtue legitimate in the sense that the author of the tweet has either minted it or has ownership of it if someone else minted it for them.
Though users cannot mint another user’s tweet for themselves, they can always mint the tweet for the author. If the tweet is minted to the Twitter username of the author, the mint can be allowed.
This enables any user to gift the tweet as an NFT to the author. For example:

TwiTz is currently live on Tezos Mainnet. Don’t wait! Go ahead and mint your tweets now and eternalize them on the Tezos Blockchain!
