SINGAPORE, March 4, 2024 / AlexaBlockchain/ – Pixelmon, the first truly decentralized web3 gaming IP, concluded the community pre-sale of the Mon Protocol fractionalized IP ecosystem with overwhelming support, reaching 100% of its required allocation in eight minutes. The allocation for the pre-sale was 62,092,000 MON, 6.2% of the total supply of 1 billion MON tokens. The value of the allocated MON was US$7.1 million at the time of the sale. Sales ended after running for 48 hours, finishing on 28 January 2024, 9 AM EST/10 PM GMT+8.
Pixelmon implemented several mechanics during the pre-sale, designed to reward long-time community members. Owners of Pixelmon and Golden Trainer NFTs were guaranteed an opportunity to purchase MON tokens in lots. The rarity of their NFTs defined how many token lots they could purchase during the pre-sale. Another portion of the Pixelmon community that funded the pre-sale contract joined a waitlist, which enabled them to buy token lots after winning a raffle. There were 21,500 lots available for distribution, of which 16,821 went to Pixelmon NFT holders while 4,679 lots were raffled across waitlist lots. The total bids reached 56,695 lots.

The pre-sale offered 2,888 MON tokens per lot, priced at 0.096 ETH. By the time the pre-sale closed, the value of each MON token was at US$0.115. The pre-sale saw 11,726 unique wallets participating, and 5,594.304 ETH was committed to the pre-sale contract valued at US$3,414.70 per ETH, totaling US$19,102,869.87.
The individual results for the raffle were announced on Friday, 1 March 2024, 9 AM EST/10 PM GMT+8. After the announcement, users were able to check the results for their allocation and claim any refunds at the same time. Upon the token generation event (TGE), 20% of the pre-sale tokens will be released, to be followed by a six-month period where no tokens will vest. Afterwards, the remaining 80% will vest over 24 months. Post the TGE, an allocation of MON tokens will also be given to players who participated in the Mon Protocol Quests. To date, a total of 532,000 wallets and over 700,000 X accounts have participated in the quests, which will continue running beyond the TGE to provide rewards at later dates.
