OTT multimedia company Mola announces two exciting NFT auctions. Mola, which has partnered in the past with established names from entertainment and sports (from Sharon Stone, Michael Douglas, and Uma Thurman to Dana White), is launching two NFT auctions on OpenSea for sports and music fans.
Mola launches the auction of its Como 1907 NFT on OpenSea
Italian Football Club, Como 1907, owned by Mola, is gearing up towards an auction in which its proceeds will be donated to EMERGENCY, a charity that offers free care to victims of war, landmines, and poverty. The auction winner will receive an all-expense-paid luxury trip to beautiful Lake Como, Italy for two, from anywhere in the world.
Mola’s ownership of Como 1907 is one of their many major rights acquisitions across the sports, music, and entertainment industry.
Mirwan Suwarso, Official Representative of Mola, said:
“In a time when sports clubs race to create utility NFT for their gains, we would like to use this technology and experience to give back and contribute to society instead. Blockchain technology will provide many benefits to the sports industry, but we hope some of us will use this opportunity to serve others too, and not just ourselves. Over the coming years, the NFT may change hands many times over, and EMERGENCY will continue to benefit from every subsequent transaction. ”
Mola Chill Club launches 300 music NFTs granting holders access to exclusive events and membership in its private club
In the music space, Mola is launching a unique offer of 300 ticketing NFTs, which will grant their holders access to exclusive and interactive concerts, such as indie singer Rex Orange County on March 2nd (London, UK) and rapper Center Cee on March 11th (London, UK).
Commenting on the launch of Mola Chill Club NFT, Mirwan said:
“Mola does not aim to become just a video and content platform, we do things differently. Our Mola Chill Club is a great example of that. Fans are not just purchasing a concert ticket for one-time use—our membership NFTs unlock access to a whole range of experiences for its holder, along with other benefits. In everything we do, our goal is to engage our audience, to inspire them, to bring them not just content, but something they can relate to and be part of.”
In January, Mola launched its interactive multimedia platform on a global scale. The platform emphasises interaction and social engagement activities, such as song requests during live concerts and questions during talk shows by prominent celebrities.
Mola bets on audience engagement and experience, making the OTT service more interactive for both users and their communities in a variety of ways. Its catalogue includes premium series and movies from the world’s greatest filmmakers. Mola not only broadcasts a wide range of sporting events, such as NFL, NHL, EPL, Bundesliga, Primeira Liga, and WWE Raw and Smackdown, but it also actively supports emerging athletes.
Mola not only engages viewers on stream, but it also seeks to support communities in the nations where it operates. For example, Mola has announced plans to establish an education fund in Italy that would provide extra support for educational supplies and tuition costs to Italian families; revenues from a series of NFT sales will be donated to the fund. The company also runs a community journalism initiative, where it reviews Instagram applications from content creators interested in reporting on its platform, and has already hired a few people to work out of its London office.
