Mode, an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution, today launched its AI Agent App Store, a platform for interacting with autonomous agents capable of executing complex decentralized finance (DeFi) strategies with minimal human input.
The AI Agent App Store debuts with ARMA, an autonomous yield optimization agent from Giza, and plans to roll out over 20 additional agents in the coming weeks. These agents, including Olas Modius—a pioneering AI liquidity farming strategist for decentralized exchanges—operate independently, leveraging real-time market data to execute strategies across multiple protocols.
ARMA has already demonstrated its potential, outperforming stablecoin yield returns by up to 94% compared to traditional static strategies. Users also benefit from significant time savings, reducing weekly monitoring efforts from two hours to just five minutes. These advancements aim to make DeFi accessible to a broader audience by minimizing complexity and time commitment.
According to James Ross, CEO of Mode, “The launch of the Agent hub is a huge step towards an AI agent-dominated future onchain.”
“We’re entering a new era in which agents operate with more intelligence and autonomy, allowing users to benefit from sophisticated DeFi strategies without the need for constant supervision. It’s a game-changer for the industry and a promising step towards truly decentralized financial systems,” James said.
Mode’s infrastructure, built on Optimism’s OP Stack, focuses on expanding DeFi’s reach to billions of users. The platform’s agents offer hands-free management of tasks such as portfolio rebalancing and yield farming, further enhancing accessibility and efficiency in the DeFi ecosystem.
Olas Modius, developed in collaboration with Valory’s core team, introduces an autonomous multi-agent system designed to manage assets and execute AI-powered trading strategies seamlessly. By gathering data, selecting optimal strategies, and executing trades autonomously, it delivers a next-generation, user-friendly trading experience.
The AI Agent App Store’s launch underscores Mode’s mission to simplify decentralized finance and drive mass adoption through innovative tools and technologies. As more agents are deployed in the coming weeks, Mode aims to cement its role as a leader in scaling DeFi and reshaping how users interact with financial systems.
