Blockchain gaming platform Metacade has raised over $10 million in its presale and is set to list on Bitmart and Uniswap after the presale ends on March 30.
The platform will offer play-to-earn, create-to-earn, and compete-to-earn mechanics for online and mobile gaming, with a focus on community-driven concepts and DAO ethos.
Metacade’s Metagrants initiative offers a source of funding for game developers, who are incentivised to build platform-specific projects. The project has already been audited by blockchain auditors CertiK, with full audit results available on the CertiK website.
Metacade CEO Russell Bennet praised supporters and revealed that the platform has hired Tyler Lange as its principal product designer. The platform has received interest from investors and gaming enthusiasts alike, following in the footsteps of the GameFi trend.
Bennet has also said that the platform will be delivered with broad use cases to deliver a rewarding gaming experience. Metacade offers a space for gamers to connect and share gaming knowledge.
The team will showcase initial app concepts in an upcoming Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.
Metacade aims to develop the gaming experience while rewarding its members both financially and in terms of gaming experience.
Following social chats on Telegram, a number of concepts have been submitted by users and the most popular proposals will be subject to community votes. Once the platform reaches the end of its roadmap, Metacade will be handed over to the community as a fully decentralized autonomous organization.
