Facebook Metaverse Project
The ‘Metaverse’ project was first revealed in June by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
“At its heart is the idea that by creating a greater sense of “virtual presence”, interacting online can become much closer to the experience of interacting in person. The metaverse has the potential to help unlock access to new creative, social and economic opportunities. And Europeans will be shaping it right from the start,” it mentioned.
Facebook revealed that no one company will own and operate the metaverse. Like the internet, its key feature will be its openness and interoperability. Bringing this to life will take collaboration and cooperation across companies, developers, creators and policymakers.
Facebook is looking at its metaverse project for future growth. It is important to mention its crypto project Diem earlier known as Libra. One need to see both of these projects in connection.
