The iconic Japanese fashion brand A Bathing Ape, known as BAPE, partners with MADworld, an NFT Minting Platform and Marketplace, to foray into the Metaverse.

Founded by Nigo in Ura-Harajuku in 1993, BAPE specializes in men’s, women’s and children’s lifestyle and street wear, running 19 stores in Japan, including Bape Stores, Bape Pirate Stores, Bape Kids Stores, Bapexclusive Aoyama, and Bapexclusive Kyoto.

BAPE has been among the world’s most iconic streetwear brands since its launch. BAPE’s line up of labels includes A Bathing Ape, AAPE, Baby Milo, BAPE Black, and Mr. Bathing Ape, which are sold in stores throughout stores in Japan, the US, Europe, China and various markets in Asia.

BAPE ahs been able to create globally iconic designs and street fashion trends since its founding, including designs such as “APE HEAD”, “BAPE®️ CAMO”, “BAPE STA™️”, “SHARK HOODIE” and “BABY MILO®️”. BAPE has also developed successful collaborations with global brands and artists.

Recently, BAPE launched its first non-fungible token (NFT) project (B)apetaverse – a series of 10,000 unique, high-quality 3D NFTs.

Backed by Animoca Brands, MADworld offers an NFT minting Platform and an NFT Marketplace using blockchain technology to defend the artists, artwork, creators, and content that enter the untraversed multiverse.

MADworld supports NFT minting to validate ownership and provenance of physical art, collectibles, and products and original content developed from live concerts, sporting events, artist battles, and other modes of creative expression.

MADworld is designed to give creators complete control over their NFT strategy, supporting them by maximizing the income and impact from their intellectual property in perpetuity. For more information and updates about MADworld.

MADworld intends to bring the best of Global Culture to Web3. MADworld seeks to use Web3 technologies and its UMAD token ($UMAD) to promote its mission of delivering Connectedness, Culture and Community to the masses.

Together with MADworld, BAPE plans to create a one-of-a-kind, cohesive approach to tie together streetwear, gaming, tokens, and Multi-Metaverse experiences for the global BAPE fanbase and beyond.

Global clothing and fashion brands are exploring blockchain technologies to better serve their customers. Recently, US clothing firm Nitches Inc. integrated blockchain and crypto features in its operations to protect its intellectual property and prevent counterfeiting.

BAPE and MADworld announced that they have some ‘MAD plans’ in the works which will be revealed soon.
