Robinhood has collaborated with Notable.art, a platform pioneering the convergence of digital and physical art through non-fungible tokens (NFTs), granting Robinhood Wallet users access to exclusive digital sketches from renowned American artist Hunt Slonem.
Notable.art launched its blockchain-enabled art platform last month with inaugural collection from Hunt Slonem.
Hunt Slonem, celebrated for his distinctive Neo-Expressionist style characterized by vibrant fauvist hues and a profound fascination with wildlife and exotic locales, stands as a luminary within the contemporary art scene. Having garnered acclaim since the 1970s, Slonem’s physical artworks have graced the walls of esteemed institutions worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Through the Robinhood Wallet app on iOS, users will now have the opportunity to acquire these exclusive digital assets minted on the Notable platform. The collaboration underscores Robinhood’s commitment to broadening access to novel investment avenues, extending beyond traditional financial markets to embrace the evolving landscape of web3 technologies.
Zain Talyarkhan, CEO of Notable, emphasized the platform’s mission to dismantle barriers to entry in the realm of fine art collecting. By offering unique digital artworks accompanied by limited-edition museum-quality prints at accessible price points, Notable aims to redefine the art-collecting experience for a broader audience.
The giveaway, slated to unfold across four distinct NFT mints, promises an immersive journey into the intersection of art and technology. Participants who collect all four pieces will have the opportunity to acquire an exclusive physical print of one of the sketches, with quantities limited to 400 prints—100 of each NFT.
Johann Kerbrat, Crypto General Manager at Robinhood, underscored the company’s dedication to fostering accessibility within the web3 landscape, echoing its longstanding mission to democratize finance. By leveraging the Robinhood Wallet, the platform aims to empower users to explore new projects and initiatives in the evolving digital ecosystem.
Renowned artist Hunt Slonem hailed the collaboration as an opportunity to transcend the confines of traditional artistic mediums, embracing technology as a conduit for reaching diverse audiences. Reflecting on the significance of art in illuminating the human experience, Slonem expressed excitement about engaging with new audiences in a spirited manner.
Notable mentioned that it will cover the network fees associated with minting NFTs up to the first 10,000 giveaway participants; thereafter, giveaway participants will be responsible for any network fees associated with minting.
