SentinelOne, an autonomous security platform, has launched a significant initiative aimed at empowering and supporting aspiring women cyber leaders in developing countries and disadvantaged communities across the Asia Pacific region.
The inaugural step in this initiative involves providing scholarships for an intensive 8-week online course at the Cyber Leadership Institute (CLI). This program is set to be introduced during the SentinelOne 2023 Partner Summit on August 23, 2023.
The scholarships are designed to be accessible and flexible, allowing participants to complete the course at their own pace. Upon successful completion, attendees will receive a certificate of attainment.
To be eligible for these scholarships, female cybersecurity professionals are required to possess a minimum of two years of work experience at a managerial level or higher.
The application window for these scholarships will be open from August 22 to September 15. A panel of evaluators drawn from CLI and SentinelOne will meticulously review the applications. The chosen candidates will be announced on September 29, 2023, at 9 am SGT.
Phil Zongo, the CEO and Co-Founder of CLI, stated that this initiative showcases a joint commitment to fostering visionary cyber leaders in the APAC region and addressing gender diversity gaps in the industry.
SentinelOne has prioritized the development of future cybersecurity leaders and the creation of inclusive environments where they can thrive. Liz Drysdale, Marketing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan at SentinelOne, highlighted the organization’s dedication to positive change and emphasized that this initiative not only contributes to a more secure future but also uplifts underserved communities while promoting gender diversity in cybersecurity.
