For the first time, Tezos hits 6 million contract calls for the month of January 2022. What a beginning in 2022!

  • Tezos is recording massive growth in smart contracts-related transactions driven by fast growing ecosystem.
  • In July 2021, the total number of smart contract calls made on the Tezos blockchain reached 10 million milestone.
  • According to data on Better Call Dev (BCD), Tezos total contract calls is now over 43 million.
  • In April 2021 it reached 1 million milestone for the first time, and it took just less than 2 months to reach 1 million to 2 million contract calls per month.
  • The monthly contract calls increased massive 3,835% in 2021, reaching over 5.5 million in December 2021 from just 141,817 in December 2020.
  • The number of new projects deployed on Tezos has seen a significant increase since January 2021.
  • Several successful upgrades to the protocol are now attracting more DeFi platforms, DEXes, and NFT marketplaces to the Tezos blockchain.
  • To name a few – Ubisoft, Red Bull Racing, McLaren Racing, The Grammy Awards, Groupe Casino, Whitney Houston, Doja Cat, Linkin Park, Tada, CryptoTask, Cambridge University, Kenya Red Cross, The Catholic Church, UN Migration Agency, Deloitte, Save the Children, and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are now building on Tezos network.
  • This has resulted in major growth on Tezos in the realms of NFTs, DeFi, and DApps. By the end of 2021, Tezos recorded over 35 million contract calls on mainnet with 24.5 million transactions being NFT related.
  • Tezos project has come a long way since 2017 when it raised a record-smashing US$232 million in ICO.
