Outlier Ventures, in collaboration with the Celo ecosystem and supported by Defactor, has unveiled six early-stage startups chosen for the Real World Assets (RWA) Base Camp accelerator program.

The selected startups—Credbull, Credible Finance, Haraka, Isle Finance, More Liquid, and Silver Koi—hail from diverse global locations, including the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, India, Saudi Arabia, the USA, France, Taiwan, the UK, and Hong Kong. These teams are set to redefine the landscape of DeFi through various innovative projects, including a private credit DeFi lending platform, RWA-backed lending and borrowing services, and stablecoin-based microloans that utilize social reputation.

Katie Lundie, RWA Accelerator Lead at Outlier Ventures, emphasized the transformative potential of integrating real-world assets into Web3 infrastructure. “the integration of Real World Assets into Web3 infrastructure, driven by tokenization, is set to transform our interaction with and perception of everyday assets,” Lundie stated.

“The chosen teams are bridging the gap between traditional and decentralized finance, fostering innovation, and shaping our future today,” Lundie added.

The Celo Foundation sees the RWA Base Camp as a crucial tool for overcoming existing barriers in traditional financial systems. “These six teams stood out from a highly competitive pool of candidates, showing potential to lead the next wave of innovation in blockchain solutions,” said Isha Varshney, Head of Ecosystem at the Celo Foundation.

Adam Bouktila, Co-founder of Defactor, also highlighted the role of tokenization in revolutionizing financial systems globally. According to Bouktila, “The tokenisation of RWAs has the potential to be transformative for the global financial system.”

“We aim to provide our technology and our knowledge to all members of the program,” Bouktila commented.

Over the next 12 weeks, the teams will undergo an intensive program featuring mentorship from industry leaders and hands-on support in areas such as product development, community building, and fundraising. The culmination of the program will be a Demo Day, where startups will showcase their projects to a select group of investors and industry stakeholders, aiming to secure further funding and partnerships to scale their solutions.
