Cronos Labs, a blockchain startup accelerator, joins forces with Google Cloud to bolster its Accelerator Program, offering startups resources and Google Cloud credits to develop cutting-edge AI-enabled Web3 applications within the Cronos ecosystem. Find out more about this collaboration and the opportunities it presents for startups in the decentralized finance and gaming sectors.

Google Cloud Joins the Cronos Labs Accelerator Program

Cronos Labs, a prominent blockchain startup accelerator specializing in decentralized finance, Web3 games, social applications, and the development of the Cronos blockchain ecosystem, has announced a strategic collaboration with Google Cloud. The partnership aims to enhance Cronos Labs’ Accelerator Program by providing startups with valuable resources to create innovative AI-enabled Web3 applications within the Cronos ecosystem.

Under the collaboration, Google Cloud will offer Google Cloud credits to projects participating in the Accelerator Program. This will enable startups to leverage Google Cloud’s extensive range of services, products, and infrastructure to build, test, and deploy their Web3 applications.

Moreover, the Cronos Labs Accelerator Program will tap into Google Cloud’s AI expertise, organizing AI workshops and providing mentorship to the participating startups. These initiatives will guide the startups on effectively utilizing AI in their decentralized application (dApp) development, fostering the creation of smarter, more efficient, and scalable applications.

Ken Timsit, Head of Cronos Labs, said: “We are thrilled to work with Google Cloud for our Accelerator Program and emphasize our focus on AI-enabled Web3 development.”

Timsit further elaborated on the benefits for participating startups, highlighting how the partnership with Google Cloud will grant them access to world-class cloud infrastructure and resources required to develop cutting-edge Web3 applications. The inclusion of AI workshops and mentorship will provide valuable insights and guidance to startups, empowering them to build more intelligent and efficient applications.

Rishi Ramchandani, Web3 Lead at Google Cloud Asia Pacific, emphasized the significance of innovation in the Web3 space and expressed the company’s excitement about collaborating with Cronos Labs and the startups in their Accelerator Program.

Ramchandani stated, “We look forward to working with Cronos Labs and the startups in their Accelerator Program by providing the technology, support, and community to help them build and scale decentralized apps, Web3 tooling, services, and more.”

Notably, Google Cloud’s participation in the Cronos Accelerator Program comes off the back of a similar collaboration that Cronos Labs announced with Amazon Web Services last month where the latter would provide machine learning resources and AI services to the second cohort as well.

Cronos Labs’ Accelerator Program focuses on several priority verticals, including DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi, and Infrastructure. Selected projects participating in the program receive an initial seed funding amounting to $30,000. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to secure up to $300,000 in additional seed funding from Cronos Labs and its partners, depending on their progress and potential.

The second cohort of Cronos Labs’ three-month Accelerator Program commenced on 15 May 2023. Projects are meticulously chosen based on criteria such as market potential, the experience of the leadership team, market fit, and synergies with the Cronos chain. Through this collaboration with Google Cloud, Cronos Labs aims to empower startups within the Cronos ecosystem, enabling them to create innovative AI-enabled Web3 applications that push the boundaries of decentralized technology and redefine the future of the blockchain industry.
