XMANNA, a metaverse platform for live sports and entertainment, join forces with NFT-ticketing marketplace Backstage to transform live events industry.

Miami-based XMANNA offers innovative solutions to reignite fan engagement with unique Polygon-based gamified engagement technologies. Through dedicated loyalty applications, the platform encourages users to interact with their favorite teams using gaming and NFT tickets for customized Metaverse stadiums.

Limited-edition NFT tickets allow fans to access exclusive events and activations for both Metaverse and physical stadiums, including perks like VIP benefits, merchandise, promotions, and an enhanced event experience.

Backstage is decentralizing and disrupting the event ticketing market, utilizing its own ticketing platform, marketplace and cryptocurrency, $BKS, to address obstacles facing the live events industry. The Backstage BKS Marketplace offers NFT-ticketing solutions designed to drive fan engagement with globally renowned venues and artists, in addition to fundraising for events and seamless transactions using their Crypto POS systems.

In February alone, the company continued its impressive trajectory after securing partnerships with key players in the industry including Ahau Collection, Blue Marlin, GotBit, Zingara, and Entertix.

The collaboration for XMANNA and Backstage allows for further enriching physical events with a Metaverse experience that can stretch beyond a singular show or game.

XMANNA-Backstage partnership to merge physical live events with metaverse experience

XMANNA will integrate Backstage’s virtual ticketing technology in its venue network, merging real-world live events within an engagement-based Metaverse ecosystem.

Steve Stein, CEO of XMANNA, said:

“The surface has yet to be scratched with blockchain and Metaverse technology. There has never been such an opportunity for businesses to be at the forefront of such a digital transformation that covers gaming, loyalty, sports, and entertainment in a single solution. The XMANNA and Backstage partnership bring this forward by utilizing these new technologies to create rewarding and engaging experiences for users.”

Through dedicated loyalty applications, the XMANNA’s platform will encourage users to interact with their favorite teams using gaming and NFT tickets for customized Metaverse stadiums.

Mauricio Silvestris, Co-Founder of Backstage, mentioned that the crypto revolution in the entertainment, sports, and gaming industries has started.

“Bringing NFT ticketing, crypto wallets, and metaverse technology into the space, Backstage and XMANNA are enabling new ways for venues, artists, and brands to engage with fans. We’re making the live entertainment and sports industries more accessible for fans while opening up a new set of experiences and possibilities,” Mauricio added.

COVID-19 accelerates demand for engaging virtual live events

The coronavirus pandemic adversely impacted live events in 2020, from live concerts to big sports championships. Shows and tours were rescheduled as venues were forced to close their doors to the public, putting many event professionals out of work until the masses could safely reunite.

The pandemic, on the other hand, influenced a digital transformation in the events industry, with in-person events giving way to virtual events and artists interacting with fans via live streaming. The evolution of metaverse, crypto, and NFTs is going to further open up new possibilities for event experiences.

As the live entertainment business rebounds from the Covid-19 pandemic, there is an opportunity to transform how fans interact with their favorite artists and sports teams, both physically and online. As artists and sports organizations become more reliant on touring revenue and sponsorships, it’s more important than ever to emphasize ongoing contact with fans in order to build significant fan communities.
