As the world continues to urbanize, the need for efficient and sustainable transportation becomes increasingly important. Smart mobility and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) are emerging as key solutions to address this need, offering integrated and on-demand transportation services that can improve mobility, reduce congestion, and lower emissions. Wemade, a South Korean blockchain gaming company, has announced a strategic investment in HwikGo, a mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) platform firm, and partnership to expand its WEMIX platform ecosystem.

HwikGo has developed an integrated platform that offers transfer connections between public transport and shared smart mobility, using a traffic card. The partnership aims to combine smart mobility and blockchain technology to launch a new service that can expand mobility into Move to Earn (M2E) and Live 2 Earn (L2E).

Wemade will continue to offer advanced blockchain services through the mainnet WEMIX3.0, global open blockchain gaming platform WEMIX PLAY, DAO and NFT platform NILE, and others. WEMIX is a blockchain gaming platform developed by WEMIX Pte. Ltd, which provides services including a cryptocurrency wallet, decentralized exchange, NFT marketplace, WEMIX token staking program, and game gateway. WEMIX Pte. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Wemade, which owns “The Legend of Mir” IP, a highly successful game with over 500 million users.

The partnership between Wemade and HwikGo will leverage the strengths of both companies. HwikGo’s expertise in MaaS and Wemade’s blockchain technology will enable the development of a new service that can expand mobility into M2E and L2E. This service will use blockchain technology to provide a secure, transparent, and efficient way for users to earn rewards for their mobility data.

The M2E service will enable users to earn rewards for their mobility data, which can be used to purchase goods and services within the WEMIX ecosystem. The L2E service will enable users to earn rewards for their lifestyle data, such as fitness and health data, which can also be used to purchase goods and services within the WEMIX ecosystem.

The partnership between Wemade and HwikGo is expected to accelerate the growth of the WEMIX platform ecosystem. The integration of smart mobility and blockchain technology is expected to create new business opportunities and drive innovation in the mobility industry. The partnership will also create new revenue streams for both companies, as well as provide new benefits for users, such as earning rewards for their data.
