Blockchain gaming firm Spielworks has partnered with Web3 startup Mycelium Network to launch a new NFT program called Reverties. The program allows users to stake the new series of NFTs in Spielworks’s game “Dungeon Master” and purchase them using USDC stablecoin.

Users can also return the NFTs at any time for a full refund in USDC. The partnership leverages Mycelium Network’s technology to support USDC for NFT purchases.

Traditionally, purchasing NFTs required users to hold ETH, as most NFT platforms were built on Ethereum or its affiliate chains. This meant users had to swap their fiat currency for ETH and wait for the funds to transfer before buying or staking NFTs.

The partnership with Mycelium Network eliminates this requirement by enabling the use of USDC.

During the minting transaction, the USDC used to purchase the NFTs is transferred to Aave’s DeFi lending pool, where it accrues interest. The interest generated will be used to buy back and burn Spielworks’s native WOMBAT token, benefiting the entire community. Additionally, a portion of the interest will support the Wombat Protection Society of Australia.

Spielworks has a rapidly growing blockchain gaming ecosystem, with over 3.8 million sign-ups and 65,000 daily users. The ecosystem includes the Wombat Wallet, Womplay crypto rewards platform, and the NFT staking game Wombat Dungeon Master, which has over 1.5 million staked NFTs.

Adrian Krion, CEO and Co-Founder of Spielworks, believes that Reverties revolutionizes the NFT space by allowing users to return NFTs and get refunded in USDC. He emphasizes that the program benefits the entire community by shifting the purchasing concept towards a “we all benefit” notion.

E.Spillane of Mycelium Network highlights the unique NFT staking experience offered by Reverties. The collaboration aims to provide reciprocal benefits and have a social impact within the gaming community.
