Puffverse has raised $3 million funding to further develop its unique 3D gaming universe. The funding round was led by Animoca Brands and saw contributions from several other notable investors including Sky Mavis, Arcane Group, Spartan Group, Foresight Ventures, HashKey Capital, and Xu Family Office.

The fresh capital is earmarked for two major initiatives: the enhancement of Puffverse’s popular party game, PuffGo, and the creation of a pioneering cloud gaming platform. This new platform is designed to allow NFT projects to construct personalized metaverses with ease, utilizing Puffverse’s engine without the need for coding expertise.

Moreover, Puffverse has entered into a strategic partnership with Sky Mavis to transition its entire portfolio to Ronin, a blockchain environment tailored for gaming. This move aims to leverage Ronin’s capabilities to enhance the gaming experience with efficient transaction processing and robust community engagement features.

Yat Siu, Co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, lauded Puffverse’s progress and its choice of the Ronin chain for future developments.

“The Ronin chain is emerging as one of the premier chains for gaming, and is a good choice to take Puffverse to the next level,” he noted, emphasizing the potential of Puffverse’s cloud computing platform to revolutionize interconnected gaming experiences.

Puffverse boasts whimsical and diverse characters, such as Patty the Dinosaur and Claude the Cloud, which players can collect as NFTs. These characters are integral to the Puffverse ecosystem, providing players with a rich, immersive gaming experience that spans across play, earning, and life simulation activities.

The company’s flagship title on Ronin, PuffGo, is a multiplayer royale party game that combines skill-based play with earning opportunities. It also features User-Generated Content (UGC) capabilities, allowing players to create custom game maps.

The forthcoming introduction of Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) will further empower users to design games and metaverses via simple text commands.

Lya L, Puffverse Co-Founder and COO, highlighted the strategic benefits of migrating to the Ronin blockchain, citing enhanced accessibility and integration with the Axie community as key advantages.

“We’ve been impressed by Ronin’s support across marketing, operations, and user acquisition and can’t wait to see the next stage of growth for Puffverse,” she stated.

Echoing this sentiment, Trung Nguyen, CEO and Co-Founder of Sky Mavis, pointed out the suitability of party games for web3 integration and noted the significant market potential in East Asia and China.

The investment will also support the development of other Puffverse products like PuffTown, PuffLand, and PuffWorld, each designed to simplify the creation of game and metaverse content for users.

On April 29th, Puffverse will take a snapshot of all Puff NFTs on the BNB Chain, setting the stage for their migration to Ronin, where an exclusive NFT collection and an ecosystem token will soon be launched.
