Polkadot Blockchain Academy (PBA), a classroom-based educational program covering the conceptual underpinnings and the hands-on application of blockchain technology, has opened applications for the Singapore iteration of its multi-week program for students who want to participate in PBA Remote, for a limited time. This iteration of the program, which has traditionally been reserved for physical attendees only, will now offer remote access to PBA’s cutting-edge blockchain education for the first time.

The remote program will follow the program’s original, developer-focused course, which delves into critical areas such as cryptography, economics, game theory, blockchain concepts, smart contracts, and Polkadot.

Pauline Cohen Vorms, Head of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy, said: “Our upcoming PBA Remote program in Singapore marks a significant milestone as we strive to make the transition to blockchain more accessible than ever before. By offering remote access to blockchain education, PBA is working towards a future of blockchain innovation that includes a myriad of dynamic voices and skill sets. We are looking forward to meeting this next round of developers who will shape the future of the industry.”

The PBA Remote program will commence on May 20 alongside the physical training program in Singapore, which is hosted in collaboration with The National University of Singapore and the Asian Institute of Digital Finance. The remote PBA experience is available only to students who apply to the Developers track and comes at no cost, with applications closing on April 5. For remote attendees, learning will take place synchronously with students attending in person in Singapore.

Beyond its educational mission, PBA is dedicated to fostering diversity within the blockchain ecosystem. By opening up remote access, PBA aims to bring Web3 education to a wider audience, featuring renowned instructors from leading organizations in the Polkadot ecosystem.
