Moku, the studio behind AI-driven title Grand Arena, has appointed Kathleen Osgood as Chief Business Officer. With a proven track record at Jump Crypto and Sky Mavis, Osgood will spearhead Moku’s institutional capital strategy, partnerships, and infrastructure expansion.

Why It Matters? Osgood’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Web3 gaming. The sector is projected to grow from over $25 billion in 2024 to over $125 billion by 2032, according to a report by SNS Insider. Industry players are now seeking the right blend of immersive gameplay, ownership mechanics, and sustainable monetization models to attract both users and capital.

Moku, backed by a16z Speedrun, is positioning itself as a foundational layer for onchain gaming. Its flagship title Grand Arena combines autoplay mechanics, DeFi-style rewards, and NFT collectibles—components that resonate with the emerging AI-native gamer demographic.

A Track Record of Building Post-Crisis Trust

Osgood is best known for her strategic role at Sky Mavis following the 2022 Ronin Bridge hack, where she helped rebuild institutional trust and catalyze critical partnerships—including with OpenSea. Projects she supported have since exceeded $4 billion in cumulative valuations.

““Moku has all the pieces to succeed,” said Kathleen Osgood. “After speaking with nearly every major Web3 game, it became clear that Moku’s vision stands apart. From smart game design and an AI-native gaming loop to a tongue-in-cheek IP and unmatched community-building instincts, this team deeply understands Web3. They’re not just onboarding users to crypto, they’re making them fundamentally Web3. I’m excited to help scale this success and bring more institutional visibility, capital, and partners into the fold.”

Building Modular, Fun-First Web3 Infrastructure

Moku’s mission extends beyond gaming titles to modular infrastructure that empowers future onchain game developers. With institutional-grade leadership and support from Web3-native VCs, the company is likely to shape the narrative for scalable, sustainable crypto gaming.
