Emerging Technologies Education Provider Edubuk Brings Academic Credentials On-chain

In a strategic move aimed at bolstering the security and authenticity of academic certifications, Edubuk, a platform for Emerging Technologies education, has partnered with Concordium, a science-backed, leading Layer 1 blockchain platform. The collaboration will see Edubuk harness the power of Concordium’s cutting-edge eSealing solution to ensure that university diplomas can be securely and transparently verified on the blockchain.

Edubuk’s decision to integrate Concordium’s open-source eSealing mechanism represents a significant leap forward in the field of credential verification. This innovative solution allows for the immutability of data by enabling individual wallets to write information onto the Concordium blockchain at a minimal cost. Consequently, this creates a secure and cost-effective means of verifying the authenticity of academic documents.

The partnership aligns perfectly with Edubuk’s mission of combating the proliferation of fake resumes and empowering graduates to prove the legitimacy of their qualifications to potential employers.

Apoorva Bajaj, Co-Founder and CTO at Edubuk, noted the significance of this collaboration, stating, “By partnering with Concordium and verifying these credentials on the blockchain, job applicants and employers can hope to recoup this time and put it to better use, namely, by beginning to develop a professional relationship that is based on trust.”

Concordium’s Ecosystem Manager, Holger Fischer, emphasized the importance of trust in professional relationships, stating, “Businesses and professional relationships are built on trust, and by choosing to integrate with Concordium, Edubuk is empowering its community of graduates and employers to build relationships that are based on trust from day one.”

The partnership also extends its benefits to collaborating universities, which will be equipped with a Concordium account to eSeal all diplomas issued to students using Edubuk’s diploma verification product. This ensures that the verification process remains transparent and secure for all stakeholders.

Edubuk’s commitment to innovation in education is exemplified by its flagship program, the Certified Emerging Technologies Analyst (CETA) Program. This comprehensive program, structured across three progressive levels, has received global recognition and accolades from esteemed institutions and organizations such as G20, MIT, Harvard, IIT, IIM, Dubai Expo, the Indian Government, CNBC, CNN, NASSCOM, Microsoft for Startups, AWS Edstart, Economic Times, and many others. Over 800 students have already benefited from the program, gaining the ability to verify their digital certificates on the Concordium blockchain.

Edubuk’s impressive journey has also been marked by successful fundraising efforts, with a total of $170K raised over three rounds, including a recent grant round in February 2022. Polygon and Newchip Accelerator stand as the most recent investors in Edubuk, indicating the growing recognition and support for the company’s vision of enhancing education and employment opportunities through blockchain technology.
