Crypto gaming startup Revoland has raised $10.6 million in the seed and pre-sale rounds co-led by HashKey Capital and Polygon Ventures.

The funding also attracted fourteen other veteran crypto venture capital firms, including AKG Venture, LinkVC, Arcanum Capital, Atlas Capital, AW Capital, Crypto Nord, Gene Vision, MX investment, One Block Capital, Phemex Venture, PlayPark, Tian Ge Interactive, Winston International, and Yield Master.

The title was developed by Chain X Game (CXG), a London-based metaverse game development company focused on bringing forward the next generation of blockchain games.

Jimmy Zhao, CEO of Revoland, said:

“With Revoland, we’ve created a space where players will have full control over their in-game assets, take an active part in the construction of the game ecosystem, promote its development and act as its governors through leveraging REVO, our governance token.”

Zhao believes that gaming will fast-track the adoption of Web3 solutions.

Revoland is the first blockchain-based multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game.

Revoland encourages gamers to build teams with coworkers, family, and friends to compete against other players for rewards in $LAND, the platform’s native coin. The gameplay is a mix of individual talents and collaboration, with a high level of engagement due to the lack of a pause button.

This way, the project creates a truly social gaming experience with a high level of inclusivity, as the game also features a free-to-play version. Those wishing to commit and explore the game deeper can spend their $LAND on Mystery Boxes with characters and upgrades.

In April, Revoland became the first blockchain game to launch on Huawei Cloud. The play-to-earn (P2E) model launched on Huawei Cloud is now creating millions of jobs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). SEAGM, Khalaspay, SEM9, and SiGMA have also partnered with Revoland.

The strong backing of leading crypto VCs is a huge boost for the platform and the industry as a whole. In the current market condition, the sixteen funds’ choice to add Revoland to their diversified, multi-sector portfolios reflects the project’s quality and the space’s potential.

Revoland will use the funds for product devlopment and business growth. The company has partnered with a number of well-known gaming guilds, and plans to increase their workforce.
