Bitget has partnered with Cactus Custody, a Matrixport subsidiary, to introduce advanced fund custody and off-exchange settlement services aimed at institutional clients. This collaboration is poised to redefine the landscape of institutional digital asset management by offering enhanced security measures and operational efficiency.

As the cryptocurrency market continues to mature, the demand for sophisticated asset management solutions among institutional investors has skyrocketed. Recognizing this trend, Bitget and Cactus Custody have joined forces to address the critical needs for the secure and efficient handling of digital assets.

The services introduced under this partnership include Oasis fund custody and a variety of settlement services tailored to support multiple trading types such as spot, leveraged spot, and futures trading.

These futures products encompass a wide range of offerings, including USDT perpetual, coin-margined perpetual, coin-margined delivery, and USDC perpetual, supported by off-exchange settlement currencies like USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, AVAX, and ARB.

A notable aspect of this partnership is the emphasis on minimizing counterparty risks associated with exchange trading, thereby safeguarding institutional clients from the inherent volatilities of the digital asset markets. Additionally, the collaboration is designed to enhance capital efficiency, allowing for the swift redeployment of profits post-settlement without the delays commonly associated with on-chain transfers.

Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget, underscored the importance of this partnership, stating, “As digital asset adoption among institutions continues to grow, ensuring the utmost security of these assets becomes paramount. Our collaboration with Cactus Custody is a testament to our commitment to providing our institutional clients with top-notch security and efficiency in managing their digital assets.”

Echoing this sentiment, Wendy Jiang, General Manager of Cactus Custody, highlighted the partnership’s role in driving institutional adoption.

She remarked, “The lessons learned from the high-profile implosions of 2022 are still fresh. Our partnership with Bitget is a strategic step toward providing our clients with a safe and compliant infrastructure to navigate and thrive in the crypto ecosystem.”

Cactus Custody brings to the table a robust regulatory and security framework, boasting a Hong Kong Trust Company License and adherence to stringent capital reserve requirements and anti-money laundering guidelines.

With its commitment to leveraging industry-leading security designs and infrastructure, Cactus Custody ensures the safeguarding of client assets through a combination of cold and warm storage solutions.
